Teaching both group lessons (date night pottery classes) and private lessons, including all levels of hand building and wheel throwing, as well as surface decoration techniques, carving, and sculpting.

Glaze Room Research Assistant, Ceramics Department, Kansas City Art Institute, Kansas City, MO
Designed and implemented a new digital system for glaze, clay, and slip formulas with automatic calculation abilities, including pricing, as well as new material labels for the glaze and clay labs that meet OSHA requirements. Worked on identifying and implementing new strategies to meet OSHA and EPA standards in the department. Testing of glazes and terra sigillata recipes to identify issues and set standards for specific gravity targets. Creation of test tiles and addition of mid-range glazes to the glaze library.

Developed and directed, individually and collaboratively, instructional art activities for children ages 7-12 over a four week summer intensive camp environment. These included hand building, wheel throwing, sculpting, and decoration of ceramic projects, printmaking techniques, painting, collage, 3d design, fiber arts and crafts.

Studio Assistant to Ash Knight, Charlotte, NC
Worked with artist/sculptor Ash Knight on development and creation of a large scale installation piece for downtown Asheville, NC. Worked with him to help design, troubleshoot, and execute the work, including computer based design, plasma cutting, metal grinding, sand blasting, and general studio maintenance.

Gallery Intern, Bill and Patty Gorelick Galleries/Central Piedmont Community College Foundation, Charlotte, NC
Assisted with gallery install and de-install work, including packing delicate works for transport and shipping. Redesigned forms and contracts, reviewed submission materials and artist proposals for future installations. Performed docent duties inside galleries and was responsible for social media and email communications.
